Personal Data Protection Policy

1. Preamble – General Principles

The law firm Axel Avocat, hereinafter referred to as the "Firm", applies a strict policy to guarantee the protection of the personal data of users of this website (the "Site"). The purpose of this personal data protection policy is to inform users about the reasons and means of collecting their personal data, as well as the commitments and measures taken by the Firm and its subcontractors and partners to ensure the respect of personal data.

The Firm complies with the applicable regulations regarding the protection of personal data, defined (i) by Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978  known as the "Data Processing and Freedoms" Law in its latest version in force and (ii) by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data ("GDPR").

2. Data collection and origin

The Site does not collect any personally identifiable information other than that which is openly and voluntarily provided by the User, in particular through contact forms, appointment booking forms and Newsletter subscription forms.

The Firm ensures that it collects and processes only data that is strictly necessary for the purpose for which it is processed (principle of data minimization).

3. Purposes of data collection

In accordance with Article 32 of the amended Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, the information provided by the forms on the websites www.axel-avocats.com and www.axel-enquetes.com is necessary to respond to the User's request and is intended for the relevant departments for the purpose of monitoring this request.

User data is processed primarily for the following purposes:

• Managing requests via the contact and appointment booking form ;
• Managing the subscription to the Firm's Newsletter ;
• Managing requests for quotes within the framework of services provided by the Firm ;
• The Firm’s communication.

As a secondary measure, User data is collected and processed to perform statistics on the use of the Site and internal "reporting".

4. Data Controller

Axel Avocats AARPI is responsible for processing the collected data.

5. Type of data processed

When browsing the Site, submitting a request via a contact form, or requesting a quote, the Firm processes, in particular, the following data:

• First name and Last name ;
• E-mail address ;
• Telephone contact details ;
• Company ;
• Company workforce ;
• Any other information voluntarily provided by the User ;
• Connection data (IP address / date and time of connection).

No personal data considered sensitive under Article 9 of the GDPR is intentionally collected by the Firm.

6. Data recipients

The firm only shares the User's personal data with authorized and designated recipients for the purposes of managing the newsletter and analysing website traffic for www.axel-avocats.com and www.axel-enquetes.com . The subcontractors who may process the User's data, whose list can be provided to involved persons upon request to contact@axel-avocats.com, do so in strict compliance with the principles and commitments of this policy, solely for the purposes stated above.

7. Data retention

The Firm retains the User's personal data only for the period necessary for the operations for which it was collected and in compliance with applicable legislation.

8. Cookies

The websites www.axel-avocats.com and www.axel-enquetes.com use tracking technologies (cookies). Each website may therefore access information already stored on the user's electronic communications device and store information there. The websites use tracking technologies controlled by third parties, which are subject to the user's prior consent. These tracking technologies are used to compile anonymous website traffic statistics. Users can object to the use of these tracking technologies by configuring their browser settings. The use of these tracking technologies is governed by Article 32 II of Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, which transposes Article 5.3 of Directive 2002/58/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of July 12, 2002, as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC. 9. Security

The firm implements all necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of personal data processing and the confidentiality of personal data. To this end, the firm takes all appropriate precautions, considering the nature of the data and the risks involved in its processing, to preserve data security and, in particular, to prevent it from being altered, damaged, or accessed by unauthorized third parties.

10. User Rights

In accordance with data protection regulations, the User has the following rights:

• Right to withdraw consent ;
• Right of access and rectification ;
• Right to erasure or "right to be forgotten" ;
• Right to restriction of data processing ;
• Right to object to data processing ;
• User's right to define the fate of their personal data after their death and to choose to whom the Firm should (or should not) disclose this data ;
• Right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
